  5. In the restore point list, click on the Next button to retrievie data from corrupt EML file.

Solution 2: Manual method for EML files not opening in Outlook 2007

  1. To start off, close Outlook 2007 and then start Registry Editor on your system.
  2. To find the registry subkey- “HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Microsoft Internet Mail Message\shell\open\command”.
  3. Right-click and click on Modify button.
  4. Write the command- “%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Office\Office12\OUTLOOK.EXE” /eml “%1” before clicking OK.
  5. You need to now exit the registry box by clicking on Exit.

Manual methods are easy and free to use but in some cases, they don’t produce the results the user is looking for.
